1. What Forgentry is
Forgentry is a virtual tabletop for D&D 5e: character sheets, adventures and campaigns, live sessions with combat, exploration and social scenes, shared maps, and AI assistance for creating content. It is a service delivered over the web, playable on desktop and mobile.
By creating an account or using any part of the platform you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.
2. Account and eligibility
You sign in with an external identity provider (Google) through our authentication server. We never see or store your password. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping access to it secure.
The platform is intended for people aged 13 or older. If you are under 18, you may only use it with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is also bound by these terms.
One account is enough to both run tables and play at them. Each account may hold up to 5 adventures and up to 15 characters. Selling, renting, sharing or transferring an account is not allowed.
3. Conduct at the table
A table is a shared space. Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content involving minors, and any illegal content are forbidden, in every surface of the product: chat, notes, handouts, names and uploaded media.
The person running a table moderates what happens at it and may remove participants. We may act at the platform level — removing content, suspending or terminating accounts — when these terms are broken.
Do not attack the service: no automated scraping, no attempts to bypass quotas, validations or payment, no reverse engineering of the engine, and no interference with other people's sessions.
4. Your content
What you create stays yours: characters, campaigns, adventures, notes, handouts, homebrew content and the scene art that AI generates at your request. We claim no ownership over it.
To run the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt technically and display that content — including showing it to the participants you invite to your tables.
You warrant that your content does not infringe third-party rights. Copyrighted material outside the SRD 5.2.1 is not allowed, and a creation that is recognisably a copy of protected content may be refused at creation time or removed afterwards.
5. SRD and intellectual property
The game rules and catalog available on the platform come from the System Reference Document 5.2.1, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), and are used under that licence with the required attribution.
The Forgentry name and brand, the interface, the engine, the source code and the original art are ours and are not covered by that licence. They may not be copied or reused without written permission.
The game icons in the interface come from game-icons.net (https://game-icons.net), by Lorc, Delapouite and other contributors, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC BY 3.0), and are used under that licence with the required attribution. They are not covered by the previous paragraph.
6. Balance, payment and refunds
The platform is free to play. Some features — mainly AI assistance and AI-assisted creation — consume a prepaid balance in Brazilian reais. Each operation is charged for what it actually consumed, and the amount is debited from your balance when it finishes.
Top-ups are processed by an external payment provider. Forgentry does not receive or store your card or banking data; we only record the amount, the status and the identifiers returned by the provider.
The balance is a prepayment for using the service. It is not money, it does not earn interest, it cannot be transferred between accounts, and it cannot be withdrawn or converted back into cash except as described in the next paragraph.
Right of withdrawal: under article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Code you may give up a top-up within 7 days of the purchase. If you have not spent any of it, the whole amount comes back, monetarily updated; if you have already spent part of it, what is left comes back. We charge no fee for this.
7. In-game wealth and items
Gold, items, equipment and services inside the game exist only within the fiction. They have no monetary value, they are not a financial asset, and they are never converted into real money by us.
Trading between characters happens exclusively in in-game wealth, or for free. Selling or buying accounts, characters, items or in-game wealth for real money — inside or outside the platform — is forbidden and may lead to suspension or termination.
Paying never buys mechanical advantage. What a charge pays for is the creation work, never power: every creation is validated by the engine against the same rules, and one that would break the game may be refused regardless of how much was paid.
8. AI assistance
AI features produce suggestions and drafts from the platform catalog and from your own material. They can be wrong or incomplete, they do not replace the judgement of the person running the table, and they are not advice of any kind.
Each AI operation is charged for what it actually consumed — the processing of the text or the generation of the image — plus the platform margin, and the amount is debited from your balance when it finishes. An operation only starts while your balance is positive; if it costs more than the balance you have left, it is charged in full, your balance goes negative and the difference is taken from your next top-up. Refusing a creation that would break the game, exploit the rules or copy protected content is part of the service, and such a refusal does not entitle you to a refund of an operation that did run.
9. Availability, changes and termination
The service is offered as it is, without a guaranteed availability level. We may change, add or remove features, and we will announce relevant changes in advance whenever it is reasonably possible.
You may stop using the platform and ask for your account to be deleted at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, and we say why when we do. In either case — your decision or ours — the unconsumed balance is given back; it is only withheld when the balance itself came from fraud or from a reversed payment.
10. Liability
We answer for defects in the service under the Consumer Code. That responsibility does not reach damage caused exclusively by your own act, by a third party, or by events outside our control — a failure at your access provider or at an infrastructure provider we depend on, for instance.
We do not limit or waive any right the Consumer Code gives you. Where a clause of these terms conflicts with that law, the law prevails and the clause simply does not apply.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes are announced inside the product before they take effect. If you do not accept a new version, you may stop using the platform and ask for the unconsumed balance back.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Disputes are settled in the courts of the consumer's domicile, as the Consumer Code provides.
13. Contact
